Open Fire Alternatives
Open fires are a well-known and well-loved solution to heating your home; with a very unique, special element to them - we hear the phrase "nothing quite beats an open fire" all the time, and in some respects - from a place of nostalgia at least - there's some truth to that.
Naturally, a modern energy-efficient wood burning stove is a far superior solution to an open fire, with modern wood stoves averaging around 80% efficiency, while open fires always lost a large majority of its heat up the chimney.
Nowadays, nobody is really fitting open fires as they're simply too inefficient and polluting when compared with a modern eco-design stove, but for those who still want the romantic warmth of an open fire; we do in fact have some modern solutions for you.
